Amalia Juliane (she/they) is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, educator and multi-disciplinary improviser raised in Brooklyn, NYC. An alumni of LaGuardia High School of Art & Performing Arts, they went on to get their BFA from the New School in Jazz Vocal Performance, studying privately with the likes of Wendy Eisenberg, Fay Victor, Charmaine Lee, Dafna Naphtali and Ed Rodriguez.

With Brazilian and French parents, Amalia blends their multi-cultural musical roots with a raw edge, fueled by experimentation and not bound to genre. Her sophomore album “Reach You” was released in December 2025, around a year after relocating to Chicago, IL and three years post her debut album “This Is Not My Mind” , released in June of 2022.

As an educator, Amalia has a passion for the encouragement of music appreciation and initiation, specializing in songwriting, music theory, ear training, improvisation and vocal technique as well as that of piano and guitar and early-childhood education.
